Here we have Space Valour!
Er, actually, maybe we don't. What I meant was here we have the
Super Warrior! OK, so, Maybe we don't have that either. So what
is it? Probably one of two things. Either this was just put together
with a bunch of random jumbo bits and pieces some some guy in Italy
stuck together in some sick Frankenstein like project or it's a
never before seen bootleg.
The guy I bought it from swore that it came that way when he bought
it fresh off the shelf with a box many years ago. I was already
getting a great deal and I don't think they guy had anything to
gain from making this story up so I've given him the benifit of
the doubt. I'm putting my faith in option #2. I think it's a knock
off of a knock. We all already know that because of the popularity
of Japanese toys and shows in Europe that many companies made their
own versions of these toys to try and cash in on them. Not just
small nameless companies either, even Mattel made their infamous
Astro Robots which are just bootleg Machine Blasters.
This seems to be a combo of two Euro-Knock Offs. Starting at the
top. The Head is from Space Valour. There's no mistaking it because
it dosen't exist elsewhere. Space Valour was a mix of Battle Fever,
Daimos, and Daikengo, with it's own original head design. The head
seems to be made of very soft rubber. From there down it's the body
of Super Warrior. SW originally came with the head of Daimos but
my guess is that there were several Super Warriors that all had
the same body and just had different heads. That would be a very
cheep way for a small company to release several made up characters
into the market at once. This was the arms and legs of Battle Fever
but the upper thighs and torso are original. Similar to some others
yes, but definitely original casts.
