Big, Blue, No missles, No wheels, the articulation of rock... OK, so maybe the Giant Gorg looks more like a giant robot smurf than a mighty jumbo machinder, but that's only because it seems Takara stopped adding details when the got to the shoulders.

Starting at the top... The head is beautifully sculped, tons of details, you can even put in a AA battery and the eyes light up! The neck and shoulders have a few gold and red stickers, but after that... nothing. I'm being too harsh, there actually are a few other stickers on the arms and legs and chest, however some genius thought it would be a good idea to make them the exaxt same color blue as the polyethelene the body is constructed from. This really sets them apart from their background and you can actually tell they are there from distances up to 2 feet away!

All that aside I realy like this guy. He adds a bit of contrast when bunched in with many orther jumbos, and besides, not every piece can be the shining star! This guy is big, really big, and so is his box which makes it hard to display next to a bunch of Popy boxes since it's almost 2 inches taller and a lot wider.

On a side note, your good buddies in Taiwan recently bootlegged this figure and added the same kid of techno-hippy rainbow stickers that they did to the Disco Daitetsujin-17 all over him, but if you find it for cheep, you can just peal those bad boys right off and it's almost a dead ringer for the real deal!
